December Events and Festivities
December is here and that means The Holidays will arrive before you know it. Savannah is ripe with Holiday festivities and events well suited to the personalities of each of our listings.
Metal Oak is our newest listing on Historic Jones Street. Right across the street from Mrs. Wilkes, and just below our other listing, Blue Magnolia. We have completely renovated this property in the Industrial Scandinavian style. Clean lines, wood, leather, and granite make this space uniquely inviting and comfortable. Enjoy a courtyard space with a gas fire pit and outdoor dining. And when you tire of walking, we have bikes for you!
If you’re still somehow sleeping off Christmas dinner, now might be the time to wake up. This bar crawl is a premier way to invite in the new year, and it’s a couple days early so you can get a leg up on the Australians who hit the new year first for some reason. There’s no better way to get a fresh start on 2020 than by drinking between bars and making some new friends along the way. Click the image for tickets and info. Happy New Year.
Cozy up to this quaint and charming carriage house with a modest equestrian theme. Equipped with a full kitchen and access to a lovely courtyard. Low Country Hunt Club is just a short walk to some of the area's most famous restaurants, shops, and attractions.
Warm up to a good old fashioned oyster roast this December and help to preserve the Cockspur Island Lighthouse. A $50 donation gets you in and will satisfy your appetite for food, drink, and entertainment. There will be a silent auction as well. There are a limited number of tickets so act fast! This boutique hotel hosts a wide array of rooms, all with a unique design aesthetic. These rooms are perfect for vacationers looking for modern comforts, modest price points, and something slightly different.
Celebrate the holidays along Savannah’s Waterfront during Christmas on the River. This three-day festival will feature merry music, handcrafted art, live performances and holiday cheer.
Dance and music fill the weekend. Rousakis Plaza will turn into Whoville with a full-length live performance of "How the dancing Grinch stole Christmas" by the Coastal Performing Arts Academy. In celebration of the show’s 15th anniversary, visitors will be able to get their Whoville hair, make-up and bows done. In addition, our young patrons will be able to visit with Santa who is taking some time away from his busy schedule to join us on the waterfront.
The highlight of the festival is the annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday evening, December 7th. Friday evening we’ll feature Andrew Gill and Company, Saturday night’s entertainment is Cranford Hollow, and Sunday afternoon The Third Infantry Band from Fort Stewart will perform.
